Thursday, March 9th 2017 is highlighted as International DJ day. For those that haven't looked deeper in to the term, A disc jockey also known as a deejay or DJ, is a person who mixes recorded music as it is playing in to the next track. Originally, the "disc" in "disc jockey" referred to using vinyl records, but now a "DJ" is used as an all-encompassing term to describe someone who mixes recorded music from any source. This includes cassettes, CDs, or digital audio files on laptop or CDJ mixer. DJs can come with various professions- radio, live, even the homie playing a friend's party. The type of music a DJ plays really depends on the DJ himself and the crowd. A DJ performing at an event typically reads the crowd and the crowd dances to the music. This creates a synergistic relationship keeping what we at Temple Nightclub do best- party.
