Britney Spears is working with Ellie Goulding producer Burns

The singer is back in the studio for her ninth album.

It looks like we're one step closer to getting Britney Spears's anticipated ninth studio album as the singer has been back in the studio. This time the 33-year-old popstar has teamed up with British producer Burns, so it's looking like she has been working on some club-ready anthems. The DJ - full name Matthew Burns - has collaborated with Calvin Harris many times in recent years, while also headlining his own residency in Vegas like Britney. His previous credits include 'Midas Touch' on Ellie Goulding's album Halcyon, as well as 'All the Things' by Pitbull. What's more, songwriter Mischke joined them in the studio having worked with the likes of Little Mix, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez and Michael Jackson in the past. Britney has been working on her ninth studio album all year since the release of her Iggy Azalea collaboration 'Pretty Girls' back in spring. The new album will serve as the follow-up to 2013's Britney Jean, which spawned the dance anthem 'Work Bitch'.
